Defensible Space Inspection Request
A primary goal of the West End Donner Lake Firewise Community is to have a defensible space inspection completed by Truckee Fire Prevention on 100% of the properties in our community and that any risk identified by the inspection is mitigated by the owner/s.
Creating defensible space around your home is a vital step in wildfire safety. This includes removing vegetation, chipping, tree trimming or removal, vegetation disposal and other similar work. Removing and disposing of vegetation can reduce the likelihood of your house, or your neighbors house, burning down during a wild-land fire.
Truckee Fire Prevention offers defensible space inspections free of charge to property owners who wish to protect their property and community from the threat of wildfire.
